Are we a little confused?

I was talking to someone today who was taught that she could lose her salvation. Let’s remember Romans 8:38-39. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. If we need more scriptural reference, let’s look at:

The entire book of Genesis (specifically the fall of man)

Exodus, in its entirety (God did not forsake His people)

Leviticus (God had enough grace to give the people of Israel, who had a nasty habit of turning their backs on God, continuous redemption)

Numbers (God led the same people to Canaan)

Deuteronomy (God continues to lead the same people)

Joshua (God allows the same people to conquer Canaan)

Judges (God uses specific men within the Israelite community to defend the people who continue to turn their backs on God)

If this still is not enough let’s look at the entire books of:

Ruth, 1Samuel, 2Samuel, 1&2Kings, 1&2Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs.

Have we done enough reading yet? Here is a good one:

Ecclesiastes (God pursues), Song of Songs (God pursues), Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah (the Lord will sing over those that HE RESTORES), Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi

Why would God come to Earth to redeem mankind if it was even in His nature to forsake? (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John)

Everything in the New Testament matches the ideas, story, and law of the Old. Coincidence? I think not. We can also look in these books:

Acts, Romans, 1&2Corinthians, Galatians (though it does mention falling out of grace which is something completely different), Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1&2Thessalonians, 1&2Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews (do not mistake chapters 4 and 6 which state that one who is exposed to the very essence of God but never knows God will enter His rest or be brought to redemption), James, 1&2Peter, 1,2&3John, Jude (which suggests that the faith has been entrusted to us), and Revelation.

If we are not sure that God’s word is accurate (which it is undeniably so, and science proves it more everyday) then let us reason this out.

1.God creates man

2.It is possible for man to sin

3.Man sins

4.Man still exists

5.God still allowed man to exist

6.Man must still have a purpose with God

7.If God allowed man to exist with a purpose, God must provide a way for man to be redeemed.

8.If God provides a way for man to be redeemed from original sin, God would not forsake man for sinning again.

9.Man must be redeemed by the God who does not forsake.
