Why Fiction?

Jesus Christ, when teaching, would use parables. This allowed Him to relate to His audience while causing them to think about their spirituality. Rebellion has one underlying theme: what might it take for a high school student to truly live for Christ and to actually affect the world in a positive way? Each chapter breaks down into smaller categories: prayer, the Bible, Salvation. This allows students to see each aspect of the Christian life through what could very likely be a real-world scenario. Thus, high school students relate to the story while seeing real-world application in the Christian faith. Because they see that real-world application, they learn how to practice what God’s word teaches and how to live out the faith that they claim. They learn how to truly gain the faith, and the purpose in life, that they want.
