Well, God provided! We now need to secure a total of $6,200/month in donations to sustain our local mission in Willcox, AZ. Please take some time to pray for our efforts, look at our needs and plans, and consider becoming a monthly contributor. A special thanks to those who have already donated. We could not have done this without your sacrifices, prayer, and support. Let me share a brief history with you leading up to the opening of our first mission in the US:
- In 2010 I started the blog at Christoa.com.
- In 2018, the audience grew to more than 20,000 people worldwide.
- In 2019, I promised God that I would walk through any door He opened without question.
- In June 2019, Christoa Ministries (CM) was incorporated.
- In 2020, CM received tax-exempt status as a 501(c)(3).
- In June 2021, we will open our first brick and mortar location:
In a miraculous journey, God provided everything we needed to get into the building. We asked local churches for financial help and received none. Donations to CM virtually dried up except for a handful of donors (thank you). We sought financial help from our denomination and association and received none. A couple of individuals who promised large investments never came through. God provided the resources anyway, and we are currently moving into our building. CM is a missions organization unaffiliated with any denomination. We partner with, train, and support native missionaries around the world (and now in the US)—which makes our work complimentary to, not competitive with, that of other missions organizations like the IMB and NAMB. The Spring is not a church. Our outreach through the spring is not the typical sort of outreach done when missionaries try to plant churches through more traditional missions organizations. I spent about a decade developing a model of community outreach that considers the changing times—when less people respond to invitations to church or church events. My hope is to lift up the established local churches and use our outreach to build up what God has already established. New methods for the established churches that do not require established churches to stop focusing on preaching in order to learn current trends. We trust the Holy Spirit will call His people in the city. Willcox has 1 church for every 100 people. Yet, out of 3,500 residents, less than 900 have a church home. Willcox needs the gospel of Jesus Christ. Even more severe, 65% of the population of Willcox is hispanic. There are no sound hispanic congregations (only RCC and Seventh Day Adventist). So, there is a need that is not being filled, the gospel en el Espanol. I want to ask you to join with me and support the Willcox mission financially. We have done about as much as we can without ongoing support from sound local churches and Christians who desire to support the mission of Christ in the US.
