When we read the Bible for effect, we always make it about us. It is important to consider the context and notice that every verse works to glorify the Father and exalt Jesus Christ, not us.

In this episode, Andrew and James consider the tendency worldly people have to read themselves into the text as the main character. They draw out the idea as they think about the way we do church and live life.
