How can you be a Christian? (1) Do good things, and (2) be sure to pay your tithes on time. Religious (and irreligious) people preach this false works-based gospel, masking it with different terms- love, faithfulness, obedience, honor, goodness, charity, etc… It’s still the same ole false gospel that creates a religion for the righteous and the rich. Jesus is straightforward–His kingdom is for the sinners and poor. If a church preaches our works and wealth, get out and find a church that preaches Christ’s person and work.
In this episode, James and Andrew talk about legalism and prosperity, comparing it to Christ’s actual teaching. No human work or offering can be added to the finished work of Jesus Christ.
